Fort Lewis vs. Metro State

Fort Lewis defeated Metro State in a 3-0 victory in the opening round of the NCAA Division II men’s soccer tournament Friday at Dirks Field, making the Skyhawks the RMAC champions. Their record currently stands 20-1-0 overall.

Fort Lewis vs. Incarnate Word

Fort Lewis defeated Incarnate Word (Texas) in a 1-0 victory Sunday at Dirks Field. The winning goal was scored by #10 Thomas Hoang with 6:06 remaining in the second half.  This win skyrocketed the Skyhawks, who are currently ranked No. 3, into the Elite Eight. Their record is 21-1-0 overall.

Fort Lewis vs. Regis

Fort Lewis defeated Regis in a 1-0 victory in the second round of the NCAA Division II women’s soccer tournament Sunday at Dirks Field. Sara Egbom, #8, scored the winning goal in the 37th minute of the first half. The Skyhawks record is currently 15-2-4 overall and they are ranked No. 16.

Fort Lewis vs. Colorado Mines

Fort Lewis tied with Colorado Mines Friday in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference postseason championship game at the Regis Match Pitch. The Lady Skyhawks are ranked number 23 with a record or 14-2-4 in the RMAC.

Fort Lewis vs. Adams State

Fort Lewis lost to Adams State in four sets at senior night in Whalen Gymnasium Friday night.  The Lady Skyhawks are ranked 5-21 overall and 2-16 in the RMAC.

Fort Lewis vs. New Mexico Highlands

New Mexico Highlands defeats Fort Lewis in three sets.  The Skyhawks played a close game barely losing the first set 25-23, the second set 25-22 and the third 25-22 in Whalen Gymnasium Friday night.

Fort Lewis vs. Western New Mexico

Western New Mexico defeats Fort Lewis in four sets. The Skyhawks played a close match but Western New Mexico won 25-18, 21-25, 25-20 and 25-18 Saturday night in Whalen Gymnasium.

Fort Lewis vs. Colorado Mesa

Colorado Mesa defeats Skyhawks in four sets.  The Skyhawks fought hard but couldn’t beat Mesa. Mesa won 25-17, 21-25, 25-20 and 25-17 Tuesday night in Whalen Gymnasium.

FLC Soccer

Fort Lewis’ women soccer team played Metro State, Sunday, October 16th.  Fort Lewis defeated Metro 2 to 1 in a double overtime victory. Fort Lewis’ Sam Weiss, #19, scored the first goal with 11 minutes left in the first half.  Metro State’s Abby Rolph, #5, tied the score 1 to 1 with 10:45 seconds remaining in the second half. Fort Lewis’ Emma Cannis, #14, scored the winning goal in double overtime with 58 seconds remaining on the clock, leading Fort Lewis to a 2 to 1 victory over Metro State.

Fort Lewis’ men soccer team played Regis University, Sunday, October 16th. Fort Lewis defeated Regis in a 4 to 0 victory.  Fort Lewis’ Derek Freeman, #21, scored the first goal with 7:20 seconds remaining in the first half. Fort Lewis’ Joey Madigan, #11, scored the second goal five minutes into the second half. Fort Lewis’ Alberto Capdepon-Rodrigues, #6, scored the third goal during a penalty kick with 29:18 seconds remaining in the second half. Fort Lewis’ Jordan Alexander, #14, scored the forth goal with 7:48 seconds remaining in the second half, which lead Fort Lewis to a 4 to 0 victory over Regis University.
